About
Photographer, pilot, runner, and lover of nature, all wrapped up inside the body of an engineer
Lori Foringer is a fine art photographer who explores the intricacies of life. She encourages the viewers to explore themselves, their identities, and their role in the world, while slowing down to observe the little things in life. Lori captures the little details of life that are often overlooked as we pass thru our lives at a frantic pace. She uses metaphors and motion, as well as light and form to create memories of fleeting things; the leaf floating quietly, the passing fog, the reflections that only exist for a moment. Growing up with National Geographic, photography was a first love of Lori’s.
Given a Nikon F and a 50mm lens in her teenage years, she took every opportunity to create. Throughout her career in the Air Force, Lori continued to photograph, constantly having a point and shoot with her, whether deployed or otherwise. When she picked up her first DLSR in 2008, the love was truly rekindled. Upon retirement, she decided to pursue the passion and dream to become an artist. In addition to her love of photography, Lori is a private pilot and holds an FAA Part 107 drone certification.
Lori’s work has been selected for juried shows throughout the country, for both in-gallery and online exhibitions. In addition, she is an active member of the Dayton Society of Artists and the Moore County Arts Association.
